The presence or absence of buildings often stands as evidence to the success of an architectural practice consisting of a complex web of colleagues, livelihoods, personalities, and office spaces. These factors play a significant role in determining the success, failure, and quality of a building or urban design project.

This exhibition offers some perspectives about the architectural practices present within the Sir Terry Farrell Archive. The architectural practice that Sir Terry founded still operates today, under the name of 'Farrells', specialising in urban masterplans.

The Sir Terry Farrell Archive is a long-term loan to Newcastle University Library and copyright resides with the Sir Terry Farrell Foundation. The exhibition has been approved by kind permission of the Sir Terry Farrell Foundation. Over the course of a two-year project, from 2021-2023, the collection was catalogued and is now available for research, teaching and other engagement activities.
