Research Reserve FAQs
- What is the Research Reserve?
The Research Reserve consists of several stores, including a state-of-the-art off-campus storage facility. It allows us to keep our less-used material for much longer than some other academic libraries do.
The facilities provide us with over 29 kilometres of storage space, which we use to house back-runs of journals and books which haven't been consulted in the past 5 years (or longer for some subject areas).
Books, journals and journal articles can all be requested from the Research Reserve via Library Search. A courier service runs between the Research Reserve and the various libraries (Mondays to Fridays only) and requests are usually fulfilled within 24 hours. Items requested on Friday or at the weekend will be delivered on the following Monday afternoon. Scanned journal articles can be downloaded at your desktop.
The Team Valley Research Reserve can be visited. To do so you will need to book an appointment.
