Teaching Rationale And Relationship
Lectures introduce the course material and concentrate on explanations of some of the more complex aspects. Students are given a programme of reading to support the lecture. Seminars consolidate course material by allowing students to tackle problems in an environment where they can seek help and explanations, as well as getting feedback on how well they are progressing. Seminars also help develop key skills in problem-solving and numeracy. Students are required to come to sessions with their attempts at set questions and then to discuss these issues in small teams.
