Aims
To enable students to develop knowledge of contemporary construction environment, apply the skills required for managing construction engineering projects, and examine the key challenges facing the delivery of projects and the importance of effective management of people to achieve project success.

- Ethics and professional practice, commercialism and professional behaviour.
- Scheduling, resource management, and project planning and control.
- Procurement systems, project costs, and estimating, tendering and bid selection.
- Digital Construction, Building Information Modelling and visual planning.
- Health and safety: legislative background, principles of hazard control and prevention, and risk
management of health and safety
- People Management: team dynamics, managing others, behaviour and dealing with conflicts, and communication.
