I’m a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant at Newcastle University. My research focuses on Adaptive AI based Learning Systems and making AI more explainable and accessible by combining Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and data visualization techniques. At its core, my work is about helping people better understand and trust the decisions made by complex AI systems.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, where I developed a Chrome extension that integrated with the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS). The extension relied on the SuperMemo 2 algorithm to help students create personalized flashcards, enhancing their study habits and promoting effective learning techniques.
Building on this foundation, I completed a Master's in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). For my Master's project, I designed an ambient light interface (MyCloudy) to support Postgraduate Teaching Assistants (PGTAs) from various research groups. MyCloudy provided a subtle and non-intrusive way for PGTAs to stay updated on each other's availability, fostering a stronger sense of connection and community without relying on constant direct communication.
Outside of my research and teaching, I’m interested in exploring how generative AI and other emerging technologies can tackle real-world challenges.
I work as a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant within the School of Computing at Newcastle University.
