Why I chose Newcastle
I chose Newcastle University because I liked the friendly environment.
What I enjoy most about Newcastle as a city is that the people are friendly and the environment is quite chilled.
Course highlights
My favourite thing about my course so far has been getting my placement.
I have gained skills throughout my degree, such as teamwork, agile development, and workflow.
Support and resources
During my studies, I have accessed the Student Wellbeing Services. The pastoral support has really benefitted me. I moved to Newcastle from the Middle East, and they helped me manage the cultural differences and being homesick.
Through the university-provided Careers Service, I have got to know how to apply for different positions and how to get ready for an interview. I also learnt how to develop an industry project.
Advice for new students
The advice I would give to prospective students is to just study hard and get started on things early.
