Background

I am a clinical lecturer with Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia since 2014.

Prior to this, I had served the Malaysian Civil Service as a Medical Officer for 18 years, of which I had 14 years experience in Primary Care in Johor Baharu. I held the rank UD54 for 5 years before optional retirement from Government Service.

I completed Certificate of Medical Education under Newcastle University in 2015 which provides me the required qualification to teach medical students.

I mainly engage in clinical teaching for Stage 3 and Stage 5, in addition to communication sessions for all other stages. 

Teaching

I mainly engage in teaching Stage 3 and Stage 5 for clinical encounters in addition to communication for all other stages.

My involvement in teaching initiatives are :

  1. Teaching of FOCP and EJR on campus and in clinics and hospital, CIDR in hospital

  2. Communication for Stage 1 & 2 on campus

  3. Teaching of ESR in clinics for GP setting

  4. MOSLERS and Professional assessment for ESR, FOCP & EJRAs
