SRN Poongothai Shanmugaraja qualified with a Diploma from Puteri Nursing College, Kuala Lumpur in 1995, followed by a Nursing Degree from Northumbria University . She has worked in various private Malaysian and Singaporean Hospitals before joining NUMed to become a Clinical Instructor. Her role in NUMed is to teach and supervise students in the Clinical Skills Lab. She is also involved in Simulation Teaching Team to prepare Stage 3 and 5 students before their clinical attachments. She is now pursuing her Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Education which she hopes to complete this year.
