Scholarships and Loans
Scholarships and loans are available to all Malaysian and International students, within the university and externally.
Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA)
Since 2024, Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia (NUMed) has been part of the Program Khas Lepasan SPM Dalam Negara (LPSM). This initiative by the Public Service Department (JPA) offers sponsorships to outstanding students who achieve at least 9A+ in their SPM examinations to pursue higher education locally, subject to the terms and conditions by JPA.
Yayasan Tunku Abdul Rahman (YTAR)
The Tunku Abdul Rahman Scholarship identifies and supports high-potential Malaysian youth from local public and private universities. This scholarship provides full tuition coverage, monthly and yearly allowances, and a 2-year leadership development programme to help students reach their full potential.
Biasiswa Kerajaan Negeri Sabah
Students from Sabah can apply for the Biasiswa Kerajaan Negeri Sabah when it is advertised on the website of the Biasiswa Kerajaan Negeri Sabah.
Kumpulan Yayasan Sabah
Students from Sabah can apply for the sponsorship/loan when it is advertised on the website of the Kumpulan Yayasan Sabah.
Study loans
You can apply for external loans or scholarships to cover the cost of studying at Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia. This is applicable for Malaysian students only. Find out more:
