Aims
The aim of this module is to provide students with an understanding of the wider context of the role of research in economics and related studies. It introduces students to the particulars of the economics job market and potential career paths. The module also aims to equipping students with a set of advanced research skills preparing them to becoming independent researchers and to do publishable research. It develops the concept of scientific writing and supports students in becoming effective communicators capable of addressing a variety of audiences and in various forms.
