No Poverty

End poverty in all its forms everywhere.

UN Sustainable Development Goals

17 Sustainable Development Goals are at the core of the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. They represent a blueprint for peace and prosperity that all its member states adopted in 2015.

Find out more about how Newcastle University is working towards these goals to help create a better and fairer world.

Goal 1

Our commitment to social justice is embedded in all that we do.

We explore inequalities, injustices and impacts related to poverty through our research and collaborative work with our local community and partners.

We also provide support for students who face barriers to their education which may have arisen through poverty.

Newcastle University is dedicated to working together to create a fairer and more just society.
