UK Qualifications

Entrance Requirements For: A207

A Levels

ABB including Biology and excluding General Studies and Critical ThinkingFor Biology, Chemistry and Physics A levels, we require a pass in the practical element. 

Scottish Qualifications

AABBB at Higher Grade including Biology. Mathematics and English required at National 5, minimum grade B (or grade 2 Standard Grade or Intermediate 2 equivalent) if not offered at Higher Grade.

Scottish qualifications can be taken in more than one sitting.

International Baccalaureate

A minimum of 34 points in IB Diploma including Biology at Higher level grade 5 or above.

Irish Leaving Certificate

H1H1H2H2H3 at Higher Level, to include Biology, Chemistry, English and Maths.

Access Qualifications

At least 30 level 3 credits at Distinction and 15 level 3 credits at Merit, and including at least 15 level 3 credits in biological sciences. (In the case of former Higher Education Foundation Courses, all modules must have been achieved at Distinction and include Human Biology.) Before you embark on an Access to Higher Education course we would advise that you contact us to assess the suitability of the course.

Cambridge Pre-U

D3,M2,M2 in Principal Subjects including Biology.

PARTNERS - A Levels

BCC including Biology and excluding General Studies and Critical Thinking. For Biology, Chemistry and Physics A levels, we require a pass in the practical element.

PARTNERS - Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma/OCR Cambri

BTEC qualifications are not accepted for entry to this course.

Graduate Applicants

Medicine and Veterinary Science graduates are accepted. BSc degrees will be looked at on a case by case basis, but must be at a 2:1 or higher and include Biology as a significant percentage of the degree.

We do not accept applications from BDS/BChD graduates or candidates who have previously commenced a dental degree at another institution and failed to progress for any reason. 

Dental Nursing Qualifications

This is not an accepted entry qualification for this course.
