Aims
This module aims to assist students in the transition into Higher Education in order to improve and enhance their academic skills and personal effectiveness as independent learners. The module will provide students with a clear understanding of the expectations of learning in higher education and effective skills to approach assessment. The module also aims to improve and enhance employability.

Students will undertake 4 assessments throughout the module focussing on different aspects covered.
The assessments will support their ability to understand the fundamentals of academic reading, writing and comprehension, to support their emerging understanding of statistical analysis required of the discipline and to support their engagement and personal development whilst at university.
