Aims
To enhance the student's understanding of Physics and physical concepts through the completion of a project and to enhance professional skills, such as communication.
This module offers students the opportunity to explore an aspect of (theoretical) physics under the guidance of an expert.
Outline Of Syllabus
An individual assignment leading to an original investigation of an aspect of physics, involving multi-disciplinary skills. Assessment of the project is via a poster and final report. The report shall not exceed the equivalent of 4000 words.
Each student will be required to present their work-in-progress via an academic poster, to assess their ability to communicate technical concepts to the non-specialist audience.
A list of projects is made available in the School during semester one of the academic year.
