Investment in scholarships

Each year, we invest in scholarship schemes to support new eligible undergraduate students to study with us. From partial to full awards, subject-specific scholarships, and external funding opportunities, we’ll guide you through the options available for you to consider.

Scholarships for UK and EU domiciled students

The following scholarships are available:

our Opportunity Scholarships are assessed based on household income. You may be eligible to receive a cash bursary of up to £2,000 per year.
Newcastle University Sanctuary Scholarships designed to enable students from asylum-seeker backgrounds to progress to university.

Donor-funded scholarships

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, a range of scholarships are available to support undergraduate study. Awards may be open to all students or linked to particular subjects and degree programmes.
