Claire Marcroft
Physiotherapist, NIHR ICA Doctoral Fellow
I work, study and undertake clinical research part time (3 days per week) in neonatal interventions. I am also a busy, happy (and tired) mum to 3 young children. In my PCAF and PhD I have been supported to develop my confidence to be able to push myself out of my comfort zone and combine a varied clinical and academic work role with family life. My supervisory team at Newcastle University are truly multidisciplinary and strongly support AHP research and capacity development. They are accessible, supportive and understanding that I work and study part-time.
