As Professor of Molecular Cell Biology, my research group focus on breast cancer research with a particular interest in the regulation and clinical impact of the ERBB2/HER2 gene and how i) splice variants of HER2 are regulated; ii) how they affect signalling pathways/breast cancer biology and iii) their clinical relevance to patients responses to targeted therapies.
We also focus on investigating biological responses to orthopaedic biomaterials and wear debris that can lead to pseudotumors and other adverse reactions. In both these research themes our research investigates these mechanisms at the molecular, cellular and tissue levels.
