My interests lie in the intersectional field of statistics, AI and omics data. I previously worked as a Research and Analyst Intern at MERAseq, a University of Oxford start-up, where I developed a bioinformatics pipeline to perform advanced single-cell analysis to detect cancer metastasis.
Driven by curiosity, I have led several personal projects in bioinformatics, including a spatial transcriptomics analysis of human lung tissue and differential gene expression studies of primary and metastatic breast cancer sites. Each project has honed my skills in tackling complex biological questions with computational tools.
During my undergraduate degree, I performed a de novo genome assembly of bacteria, using both long-read (ONT) and short-read (Illumina) sequencing. In the same module, I explored how bacterial metabolites could be potentially used as cancer therapeutics through computational methods.
Qualifications:
BSc Joint Honours Psychology and Biology, Newcastle University
