Main Research Interests: Studying fundamental processes that cause chronic inflammatory diseases and developing novel vaccines/therapies to promote transplant tolerance, and to treat cancer and autoimmune diseases, with emphasis in type I diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, and multiple sclerosis.
