Background
Working alongside Joris Veltman within the Male Infertility Genomics Research group at the Institute of Biosciences.
Previously worked in R&D and QA/RA at biotech companies QuantuMDx and Leica Biosystems. Worked in the NHS Lighthouse Lab as a Senior Scientist during the peak of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Taught GCSE Triple Award Science and A Level Biology.
Originally from Indonesia, but moved to Newcastle upon Tyne in 1999.

Research
Currently part of the LifeArc Project, lead by Giles Holt, working on target enrichment and long read sequencing using Oxford Nanopore Technologies. We are looking to develop and optimise a novel diagnostic approach for genetically challenging rare diseases, namely Atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (aHUS).
