Background
Aligned to both the Medicines and Insight Programmes at the NIHR Innovation Observatory. My role includes monitoring and gathering evidence on new innovations in order to produce health technology briefings; supporting methods and tool development in the area of soft-intelligence; and exploring the value of artificial intelligence (AI) in monitoring, tracking, and analysing soft intelligence to explore health impacts and inform healthcare decision making.
I am particularly interested in exploring the application of AI in healthcare to develop personalised treatment plans, and to develop new methods for evidence synthesis.
Teaching
Currently I am involved in the supervision of an MRes project exploring how novel sources, such as social media, can be used as part of a mixed methods approach for rapid evidence synthesis.
