Laura contributes to the research programme of the Newcastle National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Newcastle Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) Liver Disease, Multimorbidity and Lifestyle Theme. Since qualifying as a registered dietitian, she has over 15 years’ experience traversing public health and clinical spheres, with a particular interest in individuals affected by lifestyle-related disease. Between 2014 and 2018 she worked as a Lead Specialist Dietitian specialising in weight management and Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD).
Her recent project was focused on personalised nutrition and the feasibility of nutrigenetic therapeutic approaches for patients with NAFLD.
