Background
As part of Research and Enterprise Services Enterprise team at Newcastle University, I am responsible for all aspects of 'enterprise', including for example consultancy, CPD, patents, licensing, commercial collaborations, project management, knowledge transfer and all related services. An important aspect of my role is to formulate a commercialisation strategy for promising opportunities, to market new technologies to industry, as well as assisting in spin-out company formation.
