Introduction
My academic base is the Medical School (Institute of health and Society). My clinical base (head of department) is Dept of Speech, Voice and Swallowing (Directorate of Otolaryngology)at Freeman Hospital Newcastle upon Tyne.
My main clinical and research interests are assessment, differential diagnosis and treatment of voice disorders. I have published extensively in the field of voice therapy effectiveness. I am also involved in a number of research projects concerning voice, speech and swallowing disorders associated with head and neck cancer.
