Background
Introduction
My research experience has been predominantly in medical toxicology with a specific interest in clinical neurotoxicology. I established a joint Medical Toxicology Research Centre with the Health Protection Agency in 2005 with a focus on biomarkers and toxic mechanisms, susceptibility factors and variability of toxic effects, and chronic and delayed health effects. Subsequently, i received a grant of £6M in 2014 over 6 years from the NIHR for a HPRU in Chemical and Radiation Threats and Hazards.
