Background
I completed a Masters Degree in Public Health at Newcastle University, following which I was awarded an NIHR In-practice fellowship, providing the opportunity to develop my doctoral research on care home health. My research interests in older adult care link directly to my clinical practice, as a GP partner in west Northumberland. My current work is exploring optimal approaches to managing to acute illness in the care home setting.
