Introduction

I am an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the Freema Hospital (Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust). My clinical interests are in diseases of the nose and paranasal sinuses as well as the pituitary and anterior skull base. I am in the process of leading the UK's first dedicated ambulatory nasal surgery service.

My research interests are primarily in the nose and throat:

Effectiveness of Septoplasty procedure in nasal airway blockage symptoms.

Novel treatments, both medical and surgical in the management of chronic sinusitis.

Effectiveness of tonsillectomy in treating recurrent tonsillitis
