Innovation, Methodology and Application
We lead cutting-edge research by developing novel and existing methodologies and technologies.
We drive and facilitate cutting edge research and education across the Faculty. We connect the most appropriate technologies and methodologies to the right research questions. Illustrating our collective team science approach.
Our theme provides a unique environment for the creation of technologies and methodologies. As well as developing the professionals who specialise in them.
The IMA theme drives all aspects of scientific endeavour in the generation of new methods, and technologies. We improve commercialisation by connecting researchers with our experienced business development managers. We aim to catalyse cross faculty working and collaborations with external partners.

Core Facilities
We host world leading scientific facilities giving access and expert training to all users. Staffed by experts who explore boundaries to develop new methods and technologies. We support technologists and specialists outside of the normal research led career.
Operating in core facilities provides cutting edge technology to all who need it. With support given by our experts, core facilities are the embodiment of team science.
Method to Market Development
One of our key aims is to assist the transfer of knowledge to the commercial sector. With experts in intellectual property we can provide new outlets for research ideas. To achieve this, our research and technical staff partner with experienced business development managers.
