Three Minute Thesis winners
Congratulations to student Jo Baker on winning the regional Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition. Jo is working towards her PhD in Communication and Language Sciences PhD within the School of Education. She was also the winner of the University 3MT competition. She'll go on to represent the University in the national competition. Jo's presentation on their speech therapy research was very emotive. She showed how they have assessed and developed treatments for children who find phonetics challenging. The quality of the short talks explaining research was very high. Students based at Teesside, Northumbria, Durham and Sunderland gave excellent presentations. A big shout out to student Lucy Robinson who was third in the regional competition. Lucy is working towards her PhD within the Population Health Sciences Institute.
