Aims

This module aims to provide students with a detailed understanding of how computer programming can be used for advanced empirical analysis in finance.

Outline Of Syllabus

The module will explain how computer programming can be used to implement a range of statistical/mathematical techniques relevant to financial economists and quantitative analysts. Students will be taught how to write code to implement these techniques using one of the main computer programming languages. A summary of the main topics is given below.
