Aims
This module aims to prepare students for their academic studies and professional careers in HR. The module focuses on the management of diversity and inclusion, employment segregation, how multiple dimensions of inequality intersect, and how national contexts shape the salience of particular diversity categories, as well as policies and organisational practices. Alternative approaches to managing diversity will be considered, along with their implications for policy and practice.

Teaching Rationale And Relationship
The module combines lectures with student-led seminars and drop-in surgeries. The lectures introduce students to key concepts, theoretical and policy frameworks, and debates. Student-led seminars are designed to provide students with structured tasks and readings, which form the basis for extended debate and critique. Drop-in surgeries provide opportunities for formative feedback.
