With 15+ years of experience in the Higher Education sector, I am passionate about developing and implementing strategies that enhance the research environment and student experience across multiple disciplinary contexts. As Research Strategy Manager at Newcastle University, I work with senior leaders and colleagues to deliver transformative change initiatives, including the Newcastle University Centres of Research Excellence, which aim to address global challenges through interdisciplinary collaborations.
I lead the Research Strategy team within the Research Strategy and Development Service, and I support the Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research Strategy and Resources, the Dean for Research Culture and Strategy, and the Director of Research Strategy and Development with the implementation, monitoring, and review of the University's Research Strategy. I have a strong background in research management and administration, having worked at School, Faculty, and University levels at Newcastle University and other institutions. I hold a PhD in English Literature from the University of Nottingham, and the APM Project Management Qualification.
