Human tissue
The designated individual should be informed of any activities which fall under the Human Tissue Act: humantissueresearch@ncl.ac.uk. Further guidance for researchers is available on the University’s online ethics toolkit.
Sponsorship
A formal research sponsor should be identified for all projects submitted for external approval by an NHS or Social Care Research Ethics Committee.
The Sponsor will either be the NHS Trust or Newcastle University.
