About the programme
Mapping review and evidence gap maps (EGMs) are new tools being used in reviewing evidence. They help:
- in cases where multiple types of intervention are evaluated
- to provide a visual overview of evidence, representing types of interventions and outcomes
- in identifying gaps in evidence and where future research should focus
- to inform decision making in policy and practice
This course will:
- provide an introduction to mapping reviews and EGMs
- outline the gap-map methodology
- include examples of how systematic reviews are used
- give you an opportunity to work on developing an EGM
