Our Research

Our researchers address fundamental, translational and clinical questions in neuroscience.

We aim to:

  • understand how the nervous system works
  • discover the mechanisms underpinning nervous system disorders
  • find better ways to treat and manage these disorders
  • address clinical, and societal issues related to neuroscience

These research projects utilise diverse methods including:

  • biological methods ranging from recording single nerve cells to brain imaging
  • computer simulations
  • behavioural approaches in humans and animals

We capture the range of our research under four broad headings. Additional themes will emerge as the centre develops.
