We need support to be able to continue our research into improving brain disorder treatments and outcomes for patients.
Disorders of the nervous system are some of the most devastating of conditions, both for sufferers and for those who care for them. For many of these disorders, clinicians have little to offer to patients in the form of effective management and curative treatments. These disorders can include:
- dementias
- psychiatric disorders
- sensory and motor impairments
Further research is highly vital to discover the underlying causes of such conditions that, in turn, will help us identify new and better treatments.
Our researchers depend on the funding they receive from government agencies like UK Research and Innovation, and medical research charities.
