2. Apply for your visa

To study in the UK you will need a Student visa. To apply for a visa you will need a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). This is a unique reference number that we will send you.

3. Book Meet and Greet

Worried about arriving in the UK? Book our Meet and Greet service and we will be at Newcastle International Airport to welcome you when you land.

We will also arrange for a taxi or bus to your accommodation, or a drop-off location nearby, free of charge.

4. Register with us

We will send you details of how to register online as a student with Newcastle University. You will be asked to:

  • check your student data
  • confirm your course details
  • upload a photograph of yourself for your student smartcard

You may need to pay, or arrange to pay, your tuition fees to complete your registration.

5. Pack for university

To make packing easier, we can supply some of the bulky items you are going to need when you join us in the UK. Find out what we will provide, plus some suggestions about what you should bring with you.

We asked our students for their top 10 suggestions. Read what they had to say and where you can buy the things you need.
