Overview

Our MSc Clinical Sciences is available to the healthcare science workforce and through competitive national recruitment.

This accredited course co-ordinates specialist contributions from:

  • clinical scientists
  • consultants
  • clinical networks and departments
  • respiratory and sleep science

It uses facilities from Newcastle University and Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Pathways

There are two pathways available in this Clinical Science MSc course.

Medical Physics offers specialisms in the areas of:

  • radiotherapy physics
  • nuclear medicine
  • radiation safety and diagnostic radiology
  • imaging with non-ionising radiation

 

Physiological Sciences offers specialisms in the areas of:

  • cardiac science
  • vascular science
  • gastrointestinal physiology
  • respiratory and sleep science
