Phil James is Professor of Urban Data at Newcastle University. He works at the interface between engineering and computer science and since developing a database system on the BBC Micro for ‘O’ level computer studies has had an abiding interest in data.
In this lecture Professor James will share real-time data from the Urban Observatory, exploring the impact that Covid-19 has had on the city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
